We’re an innovation consultancy. We help our clients change. We come up with new products, business models, brands, services, delivery innovation, and processes… so it’s pretty varied. Think of it as a mix of research, strategy consultancy, design, and branding – but not quite any of them. Come in to meet us and we’ll show you what we mean.

Junior Project Manager

Who you are…

  • Junior project / account manager or similar role who wants to become a design thinker and innovation consultant

  • You have a proven track record of managing complex programmes within a creative / research agency environment, internal innovation / brand / marketing team or similar.

  • Meticulously organised – able to manage your state and produce excellent work in a fast-paced environment.

  • High attention to detail – able to juggle competing deadlines, budgets and objectives effectively and keep project teams on track.

  • Restless to make things happen and make a difference – proactive, independent, resourceful and persistent.

  • Great standard of written and verbal communication – able to communicate effectively with clients and contribute to project outputs as required.

  • Compelling communicator - bring energy into a room and explain/exchange ideas easily.

  • An ability and a thirst to learn academically and emotionally and a desire to put themselves out there.

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of brands and business.

  • A creative thinker who likes to challenge norms - with an innate curiosity and a passion for generating new ideas that solve big problems.

  • Basic understanding of design thinking principles is fantastic – but more important is a keen interest to learn the ins and outs of innovation.

  • Experience in design and with using design software a bonus!

  • Have a keen sense of humour.

What you'll be doing…

1. Helping to plan and run innovation projects:

  • Helping to drive accounts & projects with effective planning and management of timelines, budgets and resources.

  • Helping to co-ordinate internal and external resources required to deliver projects.

  • Involved in the planning of consumer sessions, including the recruitment of consumers and experts as required.

  • Assist with producing content for a diverse range of project stages including qualitative research and ideation.

  • Assist in managing the end-to-end concept design process, working with designers to create visualisations and prototypes that bring ideas to life.

  • Actively participate in front-line project activities including consumer-facing research and idea generation with client teams.

2. Client management support:

  • Help to ensure our clients have an amazing experience every time we work with them

  • Orchestrating inspiring client experiences - Identifying ‘ways to wow’ clients at every interaction, such as scouting for inspiring workshop spaces, themed catering, unique speakers

  • Acting as a front-line contact for day-to-day client communications

3. Supporting our company development and office management

  • Keep the office ticking over, organised, tidy and well-managed

  • Assisting with internal social media and marketing campaigns, including contributing to content and scheduling campaigns

  • Where needed support project leads in producing proposals and presentations to follow up on existing leads and in establishing client and industry contacts

What qualifications do you need?

You're likely to have 2-3 year’s full-time working experience – ideally working in an agency or in an in-house research/brand/innovation role where you would have held a Junior Project Manager position or something similar.  

More importantly, you'll need to demonstrate you're reliable, switched on, creative, curious, strategic, and can communicate well.

As a bonus, you have a background in design and are proficient in design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
