US genetics start-up Genos is laying the foundations for a new economic reality where individuals are able to sequence, own and sell their own personal genetic profile. Alongside personal genetic sequencing services, Genos' business model brings together commercial and research partners who can buy into a crowdsourced database of genetic data for individual research projects. While individual users who donate their data are in turn, rewarded with incentives for each project their genetic sequence is used in.

US-based start-up, Data Does Good is helping boost the bottom line of the nations non-for-profits by empowering individuals to harness the dormant shopper data they didn't even know they owned.
Their platform offers a simple way for users to anonymise and sell their Amazon shopper data... and donates proceeds from the data to their chosen charity annually on their behalf.
